Native of Devon England
and second son of the late
Admiral Sir THOMAS LOUIS Bart.
In 1813 he settled
in this Island as a merchant
and died the 9th of February 1862
aged 73 years
This tablet is erected
by his affectionate widow in token of her sincere
attachment and reverence
for the memory of one
of the best of husbands
and fathers
