who departed this life June 28th 1815
aged 63
Sublim'd by religion the soul aspires
beyond the range of low desires
in nobler views elate
unmoved her destined change surveyed
and armed by faith intrepid paid
the universal debt
in Death's soft slumbers lulled to rest
she sleeps by smiling visions blest
that gently whisper peace
till the last morn's fair op'ning ray
unfolds the bright eternal day
of everlasting bliss
This stone is laid by her affectionate son in law
WILLIAM MARTIN TULL
as a small tribute to
the memory of departed worth
Beneath this stone also lies the body of
Mrs SARAH McDONALD
of this Parish
who departed this life August 29th 1817
aged 79
