who departed this life the 28th of
June 1785 aged 69 years
He died regretted by all as a valuable member of society
having at all times conducted himself thro eveery
station of life with the stricteft rectitude of manner
and might with the greatest propriety have been ftiled
the nobleft work of God an honeft man
he has left his relations and friends to finserely
lament the vicifsitudes of human nature in the
great lofs they have fuftained
This tomb was erected as a mark of efteem and
veneration for his character by his grandfon
